"My inbox has 4,000 emails in it."
Real messages from your doctor and your grandkids, buried under years of junk. You've stopped looking because you can't find anything anyway.
I look after the parts of life that moved online and never came with instructions — your email, your passwords, and the accounts with your name on them. For one monthly price, with a real person you can call. All of it over the phone, so it doesn't matter where you live.
No jargon. No rushing you. No question too small.
Included with every plan, as often as you like.
None of it means anything is wrong with you. It means the internet changed the rules and forgot to tell anybody.
"My inbox has 4,000 emails in it."
Real messages from your doctor and your grandkids, buried under years of junk. You've stopped looking because you can't find anything anyway.
"My passwords are in a notebook."
Or they're the same three passwords everywhere, or you reset them every single time. Any of those is a problem waiting to happen.
"I can't tell what's a scam anymore."
They look exactly like the real thing now. Knowing which is which has genuinely become a full-time job — so let it be mine.
I'm not here to sell you a gadget or fix your printer. I look after the three things that quietly cause the most trouble when nobody's watching them.
The address everything else depends on — so it should be clean, safe, and actually readable.
One safe place for all of them, that you control — and never having to remember one again.
A plain-English list of what exists under your name, and sensible settings on all of it.
Something lands in your inbox and your stomach drops. Don't click it, don't reply to it, and please don't call the number in it. Send it to me instead and you'll get a straight answer in plain English.
It's included with every plan, there's no limit, and there is no such thing as bothering me with it. The people who ask most are the people who never get caught.
check@mygrandsontheitguy.comOr take a photo of the screen and text it — whichever is easier. Both work.
Where it really came from, whether the account is affected, and what it's after.
"That's fine" or "that's fake, delete it" — and if it's serious, I call you.
No contracts after the first three months, no surprise charges, and the price you start at is the price for a full year.
I'm taking inquiries now, and the first clients start in November. Call any time before then — we'll talk through what you need, I'll answer your questions, and I'll hold a place for you. Nothing is owed until we both agree to begin.
A proper sit-down, once, to put everything in order: a list of your accounts, your passwords moved somewhere safe, your email cleaned up, and extra security switched on where it counts. We do it together over two phone calls, at your pace, and a printed binder of everything arrives in the mail afterwards.
For someone who's mostly fine and wants a second pair of eyes.
For someone who'd like things actively looked after, not just watched.
For someone who'd rather hand the whole thing over and stop thinking about it.
Everything happens over the phone or on a screen share — you see my screen, I see yours if you want me to, and nobody has to tidy the house first. It also means I can help your mother in Ohio as easily as your neighbor down the road. Anything beyond your plan is $95 an hour, always agreed with you first.
You're being asked to trust someone with personal things. You deserve to know exactly where the lines are before you decide, so here they are. These are in the agreement too, not just on this page.
Never your bank, your investments, your retirement accounts, your taxes, Social Security or Medicare. I won't ask for those passwords and I won't accept them if offered. I'll happily sit with you while you log in — that's different.
They live in a locked app in your name, paid for by you, that you control. If you ever stop working with me, you keep everything and I keep nothing. No hostage-taking.
Every client names a family member at the start — that's required, not optional. They get a written summary every month of every account I touched and everything I changed. I'd rather be watched.
When I need to be in one of your accounts, we do it together on a screen share while you watch. I don't log into your things when you're not there.
I won't phone or email out of the blue saying there's a problem and I need access right now. That's what the scammers do. If you get that call, it isn't me — hang up and call me back on the number on this page.
If I think you're being scammed, I tell you and your family contact the same day, and I'll point you to your bank's fraud line and to Connecticut Protective Services for the Elderly at 1-888-385-4225.
You already know the pattern. The Sunday call that turns into an hour of troubleshooting. The password reset you've done four times. The quiet worry every time you read another story about someone's parent losing their savings to a phone call.
This is that job, handed to someone local who does it properly and actually enjoys it. Most of my clients are set up and paid for by an adult child — that's normal here, and I'll work with you both.
You'll get a written summary every month of everything I did. Not because you asked — because it's how I work. And since it's all done by phone, the distance between you and them stops mattering.
Talk it through with meExample summary. Every client's family contact gets one of these each month, automatically.
Call me and tell me what's going on. Twenty minutes, no charge, and no pressure. If I'm not the right help, I'll say so and point you somewhere better.
The Digital Setup — accounts listed, passwords made safe, email cleaned up, family contact noted down. You end up with a binder you can hold.
Your plan starts. I'm watching in the background, you call or forward things whenever you like, and your family gets the summary each month.

The name is a joke, but it's also the honest description. Everyone who has a young relative who's "good with computers" ends up leaning on them — and everyone who doesn't have one is stuck. I'd like to be that person for a handful of families around Fairfield County.
I build software for a living, and before this I worked at a digital privacy firm called 360 Privacy. My job there was building the automated systems that hunt down people's personal information and get it taken off the internet — the data-broker sites quietly selling your address, your phone number, your age, and the names of your children to anyone willing to pay a few dollars.
That work taught me the thing most people never find out until it's too late: scams aren't guesswork any more. When someone calls claiming to be your grandson in trouble and knows his name, your town, and where you go to church, they didn't guess. They bought it. That's the side of it I worked on — taking the information back down.
The people paying for that kind of protection could afford it. The scams aimed at everybody else use exactly the same information — so this is the same work, at a price a normal household can actually pay.
I'm not a call center and I'm not a franchise. You'll have my phone number, and I'm the one who answers it. I take on a small number of clients on purpose, because the whole point is that you're not a ticket in a queue.
Tell me what's going on and I'll tell you honestly whether I can help. It's free, it takes about twenty minutes, and nobody is going to try to sell you anything.
